Salem, Indiana’s annual festival, Old Settlers’ Days, was just held on September 15th and 16th.  Always an exciting and fun-filled series of events, this year’s adventure in celebration of Washington County’s historical past was one of the biggest and best ever.

If you missed this year’s event, we’re delighted to share a video presentation just released by the Washington County Community Foundation, one of the Nation’s most successful Community Foundations.  Like the John Hay Center, their organization is quick to recognize the extreme interest and excitement that is generated when visitors can take a step back in time and relive the Pioneer Experience.  Their video underscores the enjoyment and appreciation represented by this year’s successful events.

The John Hay Center’s leading role is the preservation and presentation of the area’s Cultural and Historical Assets by “Building A Legacy For Tomorrow”.  Our thanks to the Washington County Community Foundation for sharing their video presentation that underscores Old Settlers’ Days as an event that shares the same concept.
